Disk Target Mode

April 8th, 2008

Once of the greatest little tools i love about Mac is the Disc Target Mode. When you needing to transfer information from one Mac to the other. All you need to do is grab a firewire cable, connect it to both computers. The computer you would like to transfer the data from, with it in the off position and the other computer already on. Turn the mac on holding the letter t. In a few seconds you will see a fire wire image appear on the computer screen. The other computer you will see the image disc. You are now able to drag and drop any applications or folders you need. To disconnect simply hold down the power button with the firewire screen.
